Prof. Dr. Reşat Apak received B.S./M.Sc. degrees in chemical engineering (1976); obtained Ph.D. (1982), became full professor (1993) of analytical chemistry in Istanbul University (IU). He served as the faculty dean in IU in the School of Engineering (1996-99) and director of the Institute of Marine Sciences (2007-2015); he is currently the director of Food Antioxidants Centre and the Division of Analytical Chemistry. He is the editorial board member of Talanta and country representative of Turkey in the Analytical Chemistry Division of IUPAC. Dr. Apak is the author of 251 peer-reviewed SCI research articles, 10 book chapters and reviews, three textbooks (in Turkish), one recent textbook (Wiley, 2018), receiving more than 12 000 citations in Google Scholar Index. Recently, his work is focused on method development for antioxidants and explosives. He is the inventor of the “CUPRAC (cupric reducing antioxidant capacity) assay”, applicable to food extracts and human serum, and also the inventor of “field detection of explosive residues kit”. He is the recipient of the highest prestigious science award in Turkey, TUBITAK (Turkish Scientific & Technical Research Council) Science Award in 2017; he was elected as a Fellow Member of the Royal Society of Chemistry (FRSC) in July, 2018.
Title of Presentation: Certain issues in the development of molecular spectroscopic methods for the determination of trace antioxidants and energetic compounds

Prof.Dr. Mehrorang GHAEDİ received the B.Sc. degree in applied chemistry from the University of Isfahan in 1997, the M.Sc. and Ph.D degrees in analytical chemistry from Shiraz University in 1999 and 2003, respectively. He is currently a Professor of analytical chemistry at Yasouj University, Yasouj, Iran. He is interested in researches on experimental design, separation methods, Chromatographic Method Development, potentiometric study on complexation, cyclic voltammetry, sensor fabrication and water treatment. Prof.Dr. GHAEDİ has authored or coauthored more than 518 scientific papers published in scientific journals and receiving more than 19 100 citations in Indexes. He has directed more than 200 M.Sc. theses in analytical chemistry. He is a referee of more than 200 scientific journals and member of Iranian chemical society.

Dr. Abdelrahman H. Hegazi obtained his Ph.D. in chemistry through a scientific channel program between the Universities of Alexandria (Egypt) and Münster (Germany) in 2003. He studied as a post-doctorate for four years at the University of Münster (Germany). He was lecturer of organic chemistry and is currently Associate Professor of Organic, Petroleum and Environmental Chemistry at the University of Alexandria. His research interests include utilization of trace metals, biomarkers, petroleum polycyclic hydrocarbons and low and high molecular weight sulfur heterocycles in organic geochemical studies and environmental investigations especially petroleum spill source identification.

Dr. Amir Abbas Matin received B.Sc in pure chemistry from Tabriz University (2000), M.SC and Ph.D in Analytical Chemistry from Urmia University in 2002 and 2010. After 6 years research on separation science at research department of chromatography, Iranian Academic Center for Education, Culture and Research (ACECR), he joined chemistry department of Azarbaijan Shahid Madani University, Tabriz, Iran. Dr. Matin currently is head of chemistry department and serves as analytical chemistry committee member of Iranian Chemical Society. His research interests are chromatographic method development, sample preparation for chromatography, environmental analytical chemistry and biofuel production.

Vasil Andruch works at the Department of Analytical Chemistry at Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice (Slovakia). His research is devoted to green analytical chemistry, to the miniaturization and automation of liquid–liquid extraction and to the application of alternative energy sources for improving analytical procedures.

Dr. Mustafa Zafer Özel received his BSc and MSc degrees in Chemistry (1993) from Anadolu University, Turkey. He obtained his PhD in Analytical Chemistry (1998) from Leeds University, UK and has 22 years of teaching, research and industrial experience in this area. He worked as an Analytical Chemistry Lecturer / Senior Lecturer in Pamukkale University, Turkey from 1998 – 2008. Following this, he held posts at York University, UK, firstly for 5 years as Senior Research Fellow in the Atmospheric Chemistry group and then for 2 years as Analytical Support Leader in their Green Chemistry Centre of Excellence. In 2015, he took up an industrial role in the Global Innovation Team in Sensient Flavors, Milton Keynes, UK. He remained there until August 2019, first as an Analytical Manager then as Innovation Manager. Currently, he has returned to work within the York University Green Chemistry group. Throughout his career, his research interests have been within the fields of environmental analytical, bioanalytical, process analytical, atmospheric chemistry, green chemistry and flavour chemistry. He has been on the editorial board of Analytical Chemistry Letters, Food and Nutrition Sciences, Turkish Journal of Chemistry and Academic Food Journal. He is a member of the Turkish Society of Chemists and Royal Society of Chemistry.

Suna Timur Doktora derecesini Ege Üniversitesi, Biyokimya Anabilimdalında almış olup, 20011 den bu yana Profesör olarak aynı bölümde çalışmaktadır. Araştırma alanları, elektrokimyasal sensörler/biyosensörler, hücre görüntüleyici probların sentezi, nanobiyomalzemeler ve ilaç salımı olarak özetlenebilir. Kendisi 200 üzere SCI makaleye sahiptir.
